Becoming a Christian

1. Realize that you are lost. You must realize that you are lost before you can become a Christian. Romans 3:23 reads; “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” So, the first step is to realize your need of Christ.

2. Repent of all sins. To repent means to turn from your will and way to God’s will. The Bible reads in Acts 3:19: “Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that yours sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.” It is a wonderful things to know that your sins are “blotted out.”

3. Receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Salvation is the gift of God! The Bible reads in Ephesians 2:8; “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.”

Would you like to pray this prayer to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior? Pray – Dear God, I believe in Jesus who died on the cross for my sins. I believe that Jesus arose from the grave that I might have life and have it everlasting. I realize that I am a sinner. I repent of my sins by asking you to forgive me of sin and to come into my heart to save my soul. I receive you Lord Jesus as my Lord and Savior in total surrender. Thank you for hearing my prayer and for saving my soul. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
